In June, we recognize LGBTQ+ Pride Month, reinforcing our commitment to creating safe, welcoming spaces where a sense of belonging is fostered for every individual. This month serves as a reminder of the importance of an environment where our scholars, staff, and community members can show up as their true selves. When students feel safe, accepted, and comfortable, they are empowered to excel in their learning.

Our district is dedicated to ensuring that every scholar feels valued. We proudly share resources about the LGBTQ+ community, highlight the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals, and celebrate the progress made toward equal rights and acceptance both locally and globally.

Creating inclusive spaces requires ongoing effort, not just a month of recognition. FWPS is dedicated to embedding the representation of all scholars in everyday learning, incorporating LGBTQ+ history and human rights into our curriculum. It's crucial that every student sees themselves reflected in what they learn and feels safe in their environment.
