Congratulations to our FWPS scholar musicians for their outstanding performances at the Valley Region Solo and Small Ensemble Contest!
We are proud to announce that the Federal Way High School Mariachi Ensemble, comprising 10 talented scholars, secured first place in their category and will advance to the 2025 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and Washington Music Educators Association State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Additionally, four individual scholars from Federal Way High School, Thomas Jefferson High School, and Decatur High School excelled in their solo categories with “superior” ratings in cello, bassoon, flute, and trumpet/cornet and will also advance to the state competition.
Congratulations to our FWPS wrestling scholars for their outstanding performances at the 2025 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 3A State Mat Classic XXXVI Boys and Girls Wrestling Championships!
We are proud to announce that 43 girls and 19 boys from our district competed at the state level, showcasing exceptional dedication and skill. Notably, seven of these scholars achieved podium finishes, underscoring their commitment and hard work.
Congratulations to the Thomas Jefferson High School chess team for their outstanding achievement in the South King County High School Chess Championships!
Six talented scholars from Thomas Jefferson took home the championship title, securing their place at the 59th annual Washington State High School Chess Team Championships. Their strategic thinking, dedication, and teamwork have led them to this remarkable milestone.
