About the International Baccalaureate Program

An IB education is more than just advanced programming for today’s students. Our goal is to provide a high-quality, challenging, and internationally minded education for our scholars. With a focus on not just the information, but the skills needed for the 21st century, we are committed to preparing our scholars for whatever they choose to do next, be that college or a trade school, the workforce, or the military. 

An authorized IB World School since 1999, TJ’s IB program has continued to evolve over time to meet the needs of our community. All of our 9th and 10th graders take part in our IB Middle Years Program. This program encourages them to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world. We want them to become critical and reflective thinkers. As students move into the 11th and 12th grades, they can choose the IB program that works for them, whether that is the IB Diploma Program or the IB Career Program.

Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP) or the Diploma Program (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate).
