WHO WE ARE
Thomas Jefferson High School aims to provide a safe, secure, and diverse environment that encourages students to be active, life-long learners. We do this by providing challenging curricular programs that foster inquiring, knowledgeable, internationally-minded, and caring young people who actively strive to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Celebrate Black History Month with Federal Way Public Schools this February! Join us as we honor the enduring legacy and impactful contributions of African Americans throughout history. This month-long celebration will feature dynamic assemblies, inspiring art projects, soul-stirring musical performances, and much more.
The 2025-26 Choice Enrollment Registration will be available for all grade levels February 3 – March 17.

September 15 marks the beginning of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time when our district and schools acknowledge the contributions, achievements, histories, and vibrant cultures of individuals of Hispanic or Latinx descent from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America.

On Monday, August 19, Federal Way Public Schools hosted its fifth annual New to FWPS Breakfast at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center, warmly welcoming over 140 new certificated staff members to the district.
