Thomas Jefferson High School aims to provide a safe, secure, and diverse environment that encourages students to be active, life-long learners. We do this by providing challenging curricular programs that foster inquiring, knowledgeable, internationally-minded, and caring young people who actively strive to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.

The Athlete of the Year Celebration honored 16 scholar-athletes for their athleticism and hard work and named the top-voted male and female athlete as the 2024 Athlete of the Year.
In June, we celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month, dedicating this time to affirming the identities that create our strong and diverse district. During this month, we focus on the importance of creating space for our scholars, staff, and community to show up as their authentic selves. Scholars feel most empowered to do their best learning when they are comfortable being themselves.

Since the start of the 2023-24 school year, students at Rainier View Elementary have been eating breakfast in class. This change came after adopting the Breakfast in the Classroom program, and the shift has brought positive results.
Beginning this summer of 2024, the state of Washington will launch a new Summer EBT program called SUN Bucks. The program will provide families with $120 for each eligible school-aged child to buy food when school is out.
